We at Lifemask ™ are proud to present our safety equipment. Lifemask ™ must become part of our daily lives. It will become more commonly recognized than Starbucks and Mac Donald’s. A filtration mask is already compulsory in China where every fire extinguisher must be accompanied by two filtration masks. While a fire extinguisher is an intricate part of the Fire Safety Program, it offers the user no protection against smoke inhalation. Lifemask ™ protects the wearer allowing them to use an extinguisher practically. A Lifemask ™ is now compulsory in all of China’s hotels. Every guest must be afforded the availability of the filtration mask.
At Lifemask, we will endeavor to make Lifemask mandatory in the U.S. We are actively pursuing an inclusion in a Title 19 code. It is the compulsory regulatory section of the fire code which will require the implementation of Lifemask ™ in all public places accompanying the fire extinguisher. It should also be available for use in all high rise buildings, schools, factories, cruise liners, sporting venues, shopping centers, hotels, apartment buildings, and hopefully single family dwellings. Title 19 inclusion is our ultimate goal.
Lifemask ™ is available in a 30, 40, and 60 minute filtration capability. They are for use in a variety of emergency situations and can be purchased in smaller sizes (typically for small children under the age of 4). Lifemask ™ is an imperative part of an escape kit; it should become a part of an earthquake preparedness kit and is needed in all school classrooms. We list on our protection label only a few of the more pertinent gases the mask protects against.
In the event of a fire, smoke inhalation is the likeliest cause of death. It is estimated that 50-80% of fire related deaths are caused from smoke inhalation. In a terrorism threat or incident, Lifemask ™ will protect against mustard gas and phosgene, which are the most commonly known gases in these types of threats. During the terrible attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, many pictures surfaced where victims were unable to breathe and their visibility was impaired due to smoke and dust (Lifemask ™ would have helped). Our goal is to prepare everyone for any incident. In case of an industrial accident Lifemask ™ will protect against hydrogen cyanide and hydrogen chloride, which are commonly known gases. These gases are listed on our packaging, but are only pertinent and related to incidents.
